For the Spring 2016 issue of In Retrospect Magazine we teamed up with Beyond Retro to shoot a fashion shoot inspired by the John Hughes film Pretty in Pink, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release.
Riffing on an idea suggested by one of the models I came up with the idea of making the entire cast female and having all the male characters in the film be portrayed by women in men’s clothing.
Myself and the models headed over to their flagship store in Dalston, one Sunday morning in January, and put together the outfits on the spot from some pre-selected items and picking from the racks in the store itself.
