The summer shoot for In Retrospect Magazine was based around a number of films from the 1950s set in the deep south of America, such as ‘The Long Hot Summer’, ‘Baby Doll’, ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ & ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ as well as period photos from publications like ‘Life’ magazine.
We shot during the ‘Atomic’ festival weekender held in the amazing Deco surroundings of Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire, and again I both shot and styled this piece myself, using friends from the vintage/retro community for a more authentic look.
